Indonesia Get Grant for Maritime From United States

Indonesia gets grant from United States government by USAID as many USD 23 millions. The grant was giving on period of 4 years that includes area conservation project as many as USD 6 millions and strengthening of fisheries industrialization as many as USD 17 millions. Conservation grant will use for conservation area development, IUU fishing handling, coral preservation on CTI. CTI is cooperation on preserve water area that full of coral between 6 countries. They are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Timor Leste. Grant for strengthening fisheries industrialization uses in aquaculture and capture fisheries. Related on eradicating IUU fishing, MMAF gets technical assistance on institution by single institutional approach by American Cost Guard. In the same opportunity, American Ambassador for Indonesia, H.E Scot Marciel stated that Indonesian’s marine wealth unparalleled in the world. (pusdatin)
